About Dr. Kavanagh
Dr. Elisa Kavanagh is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and a Diplomate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Dr. Kavanagh has been in private practice for the past 13 years in the office of Dr. Louis S. Galli, on Central Park West in Manhattan, treating many professional dancers, athletes and families. She has been a staff member at The Mount Sinai Medical Center since 2002, and is a clinical professor of orthopedics at the Mount Sinai Medical School Residency Program, where she has been actively involved in training residents. Dr. Kavanagh received her undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island, and is a graduate of the Temple School of Podiatric Medicine. She completed three years of advanced reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at one of the top podiatric residencies in the nation, The Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, where she was chief resident.
As a private practitioner in New York City for over a decade, Dr. Kavanagh's passion for podiatric medicine has served a variety of patients. She has been the official Foot and Ankle Specialist for the Radio City Rockettes since 2002, and has treated many performers from the NYC Ballet and Broadway shows.
Dr. Kavanagh’s expertise has been featured in many magazines including More, SELF, Glamour and Dance Magazine. She now brings her podiatry expertise and personalized care to her private practice in Scarsdale, New York.
When not treating patients Dr. Kavanagh can often be found watching her two sons play baseball, or coaching her daughter’s lacrosse team.
